I am a Registered Psychologist who has a passion for working with clients from all walks of life. I connect with others through a welcoming and compassionate approach and create an atmosphere where clients feel trust and safety to show up as their authentic selves. I enjoy helping clients tap into their strengths and internal resources when faced with adversity and acknowledge the importance of human resiliency when feeling stuck.
I work with adolescents and adults with concerns related to depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, current and/or past trauma, shame, anger, relationship difficulties, identity, and cross-cultural intergenerational challenges. My philosophy is rooted in the human potential movement that emphasizes the possibilities of each individual.
As a bi-cultural psychologist, I also understand the experience of growing up in two cultures and the challenges that come along with this process. I am culturally sensitive and create an inclusive space that respects differences in opinions, values, and attitudes of the clients whom I serve.
My education includes completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto and a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta. My experience spans working in the non-profit and health care sector consulting with multidisciplinary teams to offer a comprehensive mind-body approach to well-being.
I also completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in the birth place of yoga - Rishikesh -, India in 2023 - and am a member of Yoga Alliance (RYT - 200). I am passionate about incorporating yoga and mindfulness into the treatment of mental health, as well as yoga for workplace wellness.
